Nowadays, fitness is often perceived and accepted to be an activity practiced in controlled, protected, predictable, and flat spaces, using linear and isolated movements done as sets and reps.
But, we are products of Nature, and Nature is irregular, non-linear, ever-changing and composed of a wide variety of elements. Moving in harmony with it requires our bodies to be constantly adapting and combining different abilities.
It offers us the optimal environment to develop our entire being, in a healthy and playful way.
Reconnect to your true nature and move as freely as you are meant to.
MINDFUL MOBILITY
Mobility is the ability of a joint to move actively through a range of motion. The ability to do this comes from being both strong and flexible. The perfect combo.
This class draws on elements from yoga, Functional Range Conditioning, meditation, and breathwork. The practice blends flexibility, strength, and nervous system training to develop mobility, strengthen joints, enhance bodily control, and increase awareness and understanding.
Your body will become more resilient, less prone to injury, recover faster, and feel amazing. Your nervous system will regulate better, and you may feel a greater sense of calm.
Bring your own mat for this class.
REST & RESTORE
A restful practice designed to soothe your mind and body. Positions are held for a longer period, fully supported by bolsters and blankets. The aim is to find stillness, slow down and create space to just ‘be’.
The antidote to a busy lifestyle, the practice helps to alleviate stress and anxiety and promote a good night’s sleep. It’s an opportunity to down-regulate your nervous system, combat hyperarousal, and allow your ‘rest and digest’, parasympathetic functions, to do what they need to do.
The class involves a series of supported postures, breathing practices, meditation and guided relaxation (Non-Sleep-Deep-Rest, or yoga nidra).
All props and mats are provided, but you may wish to bring your own blanket, eye pillow and cosy socks for extra comfort.
